Mayolina Seguy is the co-founder and administrator at Aashka Company.  She is a youth engagement professional with 10+ years of program management, development, and educational instruction. She is recognized for developing and executing innovative programs that create social awareness, promote self-esteem, and build a sense of community in the Boston area.
Julia Jean-Baptiste
Hip-Hop & Afro Beats Dance Teacher
Julia Jean-Baptiste began her journey with Aashka as one of its first students, remaining with the company from its founding through her high school graduation. As a veteran member of the performance team, she now takes pride in coaching and mentoring the next generation of dancers. Having grown up within Aashka, Julia is honored to give back by sharing the knowledge, discipline, and passion she gained over the years. She enjoys helping students develop their skills, confidence, and artistry, often seeing reflections of her younger self in their dedication and growth during every practice.
Zanyah Dorfeuille
Hip-Hop & Afro Beats Dance Teacher
Zanyah Dorfeuille is a Boston, Massachusetts native and graduate of Howard University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Dance. During her time at Howard, her passion for dance and the arts continued to flourish. An aspiring choreographer and performer based on the East Coast, Zanyah has partnered with and instructed for organizations including Soca Fusion, OrigiNations Cultural Arts Center, Princess Mhoon Dance Institute, and the Jackson Summer Program. Through her work, she is committed to uplifting youth and celebrating minority cultures. Zanyah hopes to continue sharing her passion for dance and using her artistry as a powerful language of connection and expression.
Harolyn Bowden
African & Modern Dance Teacher
Harolyn Bowden is a dedicated educator and accomplished dancer with over 30 years of experience in Boston Public Schools, where she served as both a teacher and principal. Her extensive dance training includes modern, jazz, Haitian, Brazilian, African, and sabar dance. She has performed and trained with renowned companies and directors, including Cle’Douglas Dance Theatre, Patrick LaCroix Dance Company, Art of Black Dance and Music, Troupe Sewa, Silimbo, and Uprising Dance Theatre. Harolyn has also shared her passion for dance education through teaching at Simmons College, Massasoit College, Paige Academy, Freedom School, and with her BPS students.
​Renande Loayza
Board Member
Renande Loayza is a dedicated community activist with over 20 years of experience supporting families and underserved communities. She has served as a Legislative Aide, Community Liaison, and Senior Academic Coordinator at Bentley University, where she supports academic leadership and student organizations. Renande is passionate about nonprofit development, fundraising, and community empowerment. She serves as Chair of the Newton Ward 3 Democrat Committee, sits on the Board of Directors for Newton Community Pride, and founded the city’s Juneteenth celebration. Through her leadership and advocacy, she continues to create meaningful opportunities for education, culture, and community connection.
Valine Valbrun

Valine Valbrun serves as the Fundraising Coordinator at Aashka Company, where she began her journey as a parent liaison and discovered her passion for event planning and community engagement. With a lifelong commitment to supporting youth and local communities, Valine uses her creativity and dedication to help organizations grow. She actively volunteers with various Boston-area organizations and is passionate about developing impactful fundraising strategies. Her goal is to empower small organizations by creating opportunities, building connections, and bringing innovative ideas to life through meaningful community initiatives.
