Dance Classes for Children and Young Adults Novice Introductory dance classes, student will learn the basics of various dance styles. Apprentice Classes for students with exposure to dance, skills will be toned in this class! Performance Team Selected students will learn choreography to perform at dance competitions.
Aashka Company invites you to dance in Hyde Park. We are dedicated to introducing and inspiring discipline, self-expression, and self-motivation to each of our students through the art of movement. Students work with professional instructors, mentors, and program administrators to achieve their individual performance goals and to maximize their physical, artistic, and social potential. In our 9 month long program, all students learn Hip Hop, Krump, Bachata, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, African Bantaba and will perform in June 2020 in the yearly Dance Showcase.

Class Schedule The program starts in October and ends in June. Students will explore many dance styles as they prepare for the yearly show and as part of the Performance Team.
Our monthly fees per child are $125. Our students learn in the studio for up to 5 hours per week. There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee per child which includes a T-Shirt and a drawstring bag.
Dance Classes for Children and Adults Aashka Company located in Boston- Hyde Park offers dance classes for children ages 5 to 17 and adults. The company has been in existence since 2012 and Lucie and Mayolina, the co-owners, started it because they wanted to provide children with a safe and nurturing environment to express themselves through the art of dance. The program is a 9-month long program running on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The students learn a variety of dances such as Hip-Hop, Krump, Bachata, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Contemporary, Jazz, and African Bantaba.
Mayolina Seguy Mayolina is the co-founder and administrator at Aashka Company. She is a youth engagement professional with 10+ years of program management and development and educational instruction. She is recognized for developing and executing innovative programs that create social awareness, promote self-esteem, and build a sense of community in the Boston area.
Shanell Sanders Shanell performed with En Motion Dance Company in Cambridge, MA. She danced Hip Hop for about 4 years. In college, she created her own dance team called Divine Expression. They performed at various events on and off campus, with the last performance dancing as back up for Ne-Yo's opening act, Henry Smith. Russell FidelmanRussell Fidelman is a street dancer who performs as a busker on the Boston Common. Other than doing the robot on the streets, Russell has also performed for various groups such as Slaughterhouse and Fifth Element Dance, specializing in popping styles, and has been dancing for over ten years. Russell teaches popping and allstyles dance, and believes that dance is a unique form of communication that allows us to express ourselves in fundamental ways other activities cannot.
Noel Staples Freeman Noel is a Dorchester native and a 1987 graduate of Emerson College holding a B.S. in Children's Theatre and a minor in Dance. Sis. Noel's formal training started at age 11 at The Billie Pope School of Dance in Roxbury followed by The Boston Conservatory of Music, The Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts and The Art of Black Dance and Music. She performed for the 1990 Nelson Mandela visit to Boston, She received the 1995 Commomwealth Award with A.B.D.M., She also performed in Senegal West Africa at the Sorano Theatre for the President of Senegal under the direction of her Teacher, Ibrahima Camara. Sister Noel, has been teaching and performing in the community and abroad for the past 30 years. Sis. Noel practices Martial Arts and Healing Arts Tai Chi, Wing Chun and Qi Gong.
Harolyn BowdenHarolyn Bowden was an educator in Boston Public Schools for over 30 years, serving as a teacher and principal. She has studied modern, jazz, Haitian, Brazilian, African and sabar dance. She has performed and trained with the following dance companies and directors: Cle’Douglas Dance Theatre, Patrick LaCroix Dance Company, the Art of Black Dance and Music (DeAma Battle), Troupe Sewa (Joh Camara), Silimbo (Fatou N’Diaye), and presently is with Uprising Dance Theatre (Noel Staples). She’s taught dance at Simmons College, Massasoit College, Paige Academy, Freedom School, and to her BPS students.
Renande LoayzaRenande Loayza is a community activist who has dedicated her adult life to fighting for equality and opportunity for all people in underserved communities. She has used her background and knowledge in working in major corporations to support local non-profits in finding the resources necessary to carry out their missions. Renande has also worked on various political campaigns, with a special focus on women and minority candidates as she seeks to help elevate the voices that reflect the growing diversity in the communities she supports. Born in Cape-Haitian, Haiti, Renande has been a resident of Massachusetts for many years and briefly lived in Lima, Peru. It was there she became fluent in Spanish and built a closer relationship with the South American community. Renande is currently the founder of SankofEizam, Inc. a company focused on consulting and supporting the development of non-profits. Renande is the proud wife of Allen Loayza and mother of two amazing daughters, Mazie and Carmen Loayza.
Valine Valbrun Valine Valbrun is a fundraising coordinator at Aashka Company. She started as a parent liaison and quickly developed a passion for helping organize small events at the dance school. Valine’s desire to help her community and youth started at a very young age and since then she has been trying to find the right niche to share her ideas and get her hands dirty. Valine also volunteers in different organizations in the Boston community. Her dream is to help small organizations grow using strong fundraising ideas.
